Vingroup Corporation said it will complete construction of the National Exhibition and Fair Center in July 2025 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.

The newly revealed design shows that this will be a "project of the century" that is both international in stature and imbued with national spirit, worthy of becoming a new symbol of development of the Capital.

Vingroup Corporation has just reported to the Prime Minister on the progress of completing the construction of the National Exhibition Center project in Dong Anh District, Hanoi. Accordingly, Vingroup said it has developed a detailed plan and is striving to complete the investment plan for the construction of this project in July 2025, just over 10 months after the groundbreaking ceremony, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Started on August 30, 2024, the National Exhibition and Fair Center is considered a "new wonder" of the capital with a total scale of up to 90 hectares, in the Top 10 largest exhibition centers in the world. The project includes an indoor exhibition building with the image of the Golden Turtle God with 9 sub-areas with a total area of over 130,000 m2, 4 outdoor exhibition parks with a total scale of up to 20.6 hectares, 2 other small-scale indoor exhibition halls and diverse auxiliary works...

The indoor exhibition area features the design of the Golden Turtle God - the god associated with the legend of the construction of Co Loa citadel. The Golden Turtle God is also one of the four sacred animals of Vietnamese traditional culture, a symbol of health, fortune and prosperity.

The main roof of the indoor exhibition hall represents the head of the Golden Turtle God, while the eight side roofs represent the feet of the Golden Turtle God. The dome of the building is about 56.26 m high, forming the shape of the Golden Turtle God's shell. The outer diameter of the exhibition building is about 360 m, the diameter of the Central Exhibition Hall is about 120 m.

The designers cleverly turned the head of the Golden Turtle God into the main hall of the indoor exhibition area. The arched design also creates softness and elegance, like arms outstretched to welcome domestic and foreign visitors.

The architectural highlight in front of the main hall is the lake and fountain. In feng shui, water is considered an element representing wealth, bringing luck and prosperity. In addition, trees and lakes are also present in many areas around the exhibition area, creating a relaxing outdoor space with fresh, pleasant air.

Viewed from the inside of the central exhibition hall, the main hall impresses with its imposing columns, covered with metal, creating a luxurious beauty. The walls surrounding the exhibition hall are glass walls with a system of railings that both create aesthetics and help block sunlight. Meanwhile, the "turtle shell" of Than Kim Quy uses a light, translucent canvas roofing material. This design meets the green architecture standards, saving energy for global-scale projects.

In addition to the main exhibition hall, the complex also arranges works with specialized functions, ensuring to meet different needs in depth, such as the Conference and Wedding Center; Regular exhibition center (blocks A and B); 20-hectare outdoor exhibition area to organize extremely large-scale exhibition events, super-sized and super-heavy exhibition products; 6 outdoor parking lots...

Block A permanent exhibition center has a scale of 5 floors, total floor area of 80,000 m2. This will be the place to organize regular exhibition events, smaller scale and has additional function as the region's logistics warehouse.

Co Loa Center Conference and Wedding Center in the heart of the National Exhibition Fair Center has a scale of 12,680m2 with luxurious design, impressive landscape will be the center of events, conferences, seminars, parties... national and international scale. Combined with the 42-storey 5-star international standard Office - Hotel complex (expected to be managed by Marriott), this will be the driving force to promote MICE tourism of the Capital to break through in the future.

With a luxurious design, inspired by the “bamboo wonder” Bamboo Legend at Phu Quoc United Center, Co Loa Center will add new artistic colors to the National Exhibition Center complex. This place will be the meeting place for lavish weddings, bringing a regular and stable flow of customers to the area.

The National Exhibition Fair Center is located right at the Northeast gateway of Hanoi, only 15 minutes from Noi Bai International Airport, 5 minutes from Hoan Kiem and Tay Ho districts via the planned Tu Lien Bridge. In parallel with accelerating the construction progress of the Exhibition Fair Center, Vingroup Corporation has just sent a document to the Hanoi People's Committee proposing to participate in investing in the construction of the Tu Lien Bridge project under the BT contract form.

When completed and put into operation, the National Exhibition and Fair Center will be a new symbol of development, contributing to making Hanoi an “exhibition capital” of the world. This is also an important bridge for global businesses and countries to increase meetings, expand trade opportunities, and contribute to raising Vietnam’s position on the world economic map.
