Close-up of the hundred billion VND park about to be put into operation in Long Bien

Hanoi - After many years of abandonment and degradation, Long Bien Park (formerly Viet Hung New Urban Area Park ) has put on a new coat.

According to Lao Dong, at Long Bien Park , dozens of workers and many machines are constructing and completing the final items, in time for the 20th anniversary of Long Bien District. Items such as fences, embankment systems, gates, and lighting are all "newly painted", with soft and eye-catching designs.

Having lived in Viet Hung Urban Area for 3 years, Mr. Dao Anh Tuan (32 years old, Viet Hung, Long Bien) is eagerly counting down the days until Long Bien Park comes into operation. "Not only me but hundreds of people living around here are looking forward to the day the park officially comes into operation. Because for a long time, people have had to live in a space lacking entertainment and recreation areas," said Mr. Tuan.

Sharing the joy, Ms. Do Thu Ha (22 years old, Viet Hung, Long Bien) said that for the past month, she has started exercising in Long Bien Park. "Before, I had to jog on the street, which was very dangerous, but since Long Bien Park was renovated, I have been exercising here regularly. Inside the park, there is a flat paved area, with many rows of trees planted along the running path, making me feel very comfortable when jogging. When the park is in operation, my family and I will often go to the park to exercise," Ms. Ha said.

Long Bien Park is located on Doan Khue - Van Hanh Street, invested by the Long Bien District Land Fund Development Center in coordination with related units with a total investment of 95 billion VND; the project scale is over 15.7 hectares. This is one of the key projects towards the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Long Bien District (November 6, 2003 - November 6, 2023).

Previously in 2019, the Hanoi People's Committee decided to approve the list of socialized projects calling for investment in the project to renovate and upgrade Long Bien Park (formerly Viet Hung New Urban Area Park) with the investment goal of renovating the existing park according to the approved plan. The form of operation and nature of the park is a public park (open park). The project is expected to be completed in September 2023. The renovation items include fences, embankment systems, gates, lighting, tree planting and other technical infrastructure systems. The new construction items include: sports training areas, service areas according to the approved master plan.
