Nguyen Tang Tien fouled Pham Tuan Hai at the end of the 13th round match of V.League 2023/24 between Hanoi FC and Quang Nam Club. The away team player kicked straight into the leg of the Vietnamese national team striker.

Referee Nguyen Dinh Thai initially showed a yellow card. However, after reviewing the video, he overturned the yellow card and showed Tang Tien a red card. Pham Tuan Hai could not continue playing and had to leave the field. He was immediately taken to the hospital for X-rays.
