On December 28, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City Police, departments, branches, and districts to coordinate in providing information on cases of alcohol concentration violations when participating in traffic by cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, party members, and workers (collectively referred to as cadres and civil servants) in state agencies.
This move by the Department of Home Affairs aims to implement the recent direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on thoroughly disseminating and requiring officials and civil servants to set an example in strictly complying with regulations on preventing the harmful effects of alcohol and beer when participating in traffic.
Accordingly, the Department of Home Affairs requested the Ho Chi Minh City Police to provide a list of information on cases of alcohol concentration violations when participating in traffic by officials and civil servants (collectively referred to as officials) to the agencies and units where the officials work, requesting review and consideration of the responsibilities of the violating officials and the heads of the agencies and units.
Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police fine alcohol concentration
Based on the announcement of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, the heads of agencies and units, based on the level of violation, will study and review the responsibility of the violating officers according to regulations. At the same time, the heads of agencies and units must also self-review their responsibility in managing and disseminating regulations on preventing and combating the harmful effects of alcohol and beer when participating in traffic at the unit.
In order to have a basis to propose that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee include exemplary compliance with regulations on preventing the harmful effects of alcohol and beer when participating in traffic in the criteria for evaluating and classifying groups and individuals, the Department of Home Affairs requested the Ho Chi Minh City Police to propose the prescribed levels to include in the evaluation criteria for relevant groups and individuals.
In a document issued on December 22, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested that officials and civil servants set an example by complying with regulations and not drinking alcohol before and while driving. When detecting officials violating alcohol concentration while driving, the police agency handling the violation must send a notice to the management agency for handling measures according to regulations.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also strictly prohibits party members, cadres, soldiers, civil servants, public employees, and workers in agencies and units from intervening in the handling of drivers participating in traffic with alcohol levels in their bodies.
