In his welcoming remarks at the forum, the Secretary of the Hai Ba Trung District Party Committee, Nguyen Van Nam, stated that the 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi City, for the 2024-2029 term, was held solemnly and featured many innovations. One of these innovations was the organization of discussion forums at various district and town locations. This provided an opportunity for the Congress to expand and promote democracy in discussions and participation, and also allowed member organizations and grassroots organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi City to strengthen exchanges, learning, and sharing experiences, further consolidating solidarity, close ties, and mutual understanding.

Here, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong stated that over the years, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City has always paid attention to building a team of full-time Front officials in many aspects. Therefore, the organizational structure of Front officials at all levels has been regularly consolidated and improved; the training and professional development of full-time Front officials has been emphasized, and most newly transferred officials to Front agencies have been sent to attend training courses on basic knowledge and skills in Front work...

At the forum, delegates discussed that the Fatherland Front at all levels needs to proactively advise Party committees and leverage the role of member organizations to create a pool of cadres for the Front. Cadre planning must be carried out according to proper procedures, openly and democratically. They also emphasized the need to proactively innovate the content and improve the quality of training programs to enhance the professional competence, skills, and working methods of dedicated and responsible cadres and civil servants of the Fatherland Front at all levels.

The Fatherland Front at all levels needs to proactively coordinate with political and social organizations at the same level to strengthen the understanding of the thoughts and aspirations of voters and the people, sincerely listen to their contributions, and promptly resolve their legitimate concerns and aspirations. At the same time, it should leverage the role of influential figures among ethnic minorities, religious leaders, and officials to contribute to propaganda, mobilization, and social consensus building, encouraging people to actively participate in the implementation of socio-economic development, national defense, security, and foreign affairs tasks of the locality; and building a clean and strong Party and political system.

In this context, Front cadres must take the lead in movements, set an example in even the smallest things, be knowledgeable about many issues, and above all, be truly dedicated and responsible to their work and to the people...
