Russian team security officers arrive in Hanoi soon

The LPBank Cup 2024 international friendly tournament will feature the Vietnam national team, the Russian national team and the Thai national team. The matches will all take place at 8:00 p.m. on September 5, 7 and 10 at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi. On August 30, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), a meeting was held between the tournament's security subcommittee and representatives of a number of units under the Ministry of Public Security and the Hanoi City Police to agree on a security plan and ensure order and safety for the organization of the match. On September 2, the first member of the Russian national team, a security officer, arrived in Hanoi early to coordinate with the organizing committee in security and logistics work. On the morning of September 4, two players of the Russian national team will also arrive in Vietnam earlier than the schedule of the whole team: midfielder Daler Kuzyaev (Le Havre Club) and goalkeeper Matvei Safonov (PSG). Both are playing in France. At 1:00 p.m. on September 4, all remaining members of the Russian team will land at Noi Bai International Airport. Coach Valery Karpin and his team will check in at the VIP area reserved for the delegation and move to their base at the JW Marriott Hotel. Before going to Vietnam, the Russian team had their first training session on September 2 at Novogorsk UTB Stadium, northwest of Moscow. According to information posted by the Russian Football Federation, coach Valery Karpin changed the squad by not calling up Igor Diveev and Alexander Soldatenkov. Instead, Valentin Paltsev, Anton Zinkovsky and Arsen Adamov will be called up. Talking about the goal at the 2024 LPBank Cup International Friendly Tournament, Russian player Dmitry Barinov said: "We will win and please the fans."

According to the organizers' plan, at 4:30 p.m. on September 4, coach Kim Sang Sik will attend a press conference before the Vietnam - Russia match (September 5). Then at 5:30 p.m., the Vietnamese team will have a practice session to get acquainted with My Dinh Stadium. At 7 p.m. on the same day, the Russian team will practice at My Dinh Stadium.
