Cam Tam is a particularly disadvantaged commune in Cam Thuy district. Eighty percent of the commune's population are ethnic minorities, and the awareness of some residents remains limited. In previous years, Cam Tam was a key area with complex security and order issues.

Cam Tam strives to maintain security and order. The police in Cam Tam commune are actively disseminating information, clearly explaining the methods and tactics used by various types of criminals so that people can be aware and take preventative measures.

To effectively combat various types of crime and maintain political security and social order in the area, the Cam Tam commune police force has proactively advised the local Party committee and government on ensuring security and order. They have coordinated with mass organizations and villages to effectively disseminate information and mobilize people to participate in crime prevention and control; regularly providing legal education and information on the methods and tactics of various types of crime to raise public awareness and enable preventive measures. Tasks have been assigned to each officer to thoroughly understand the local situation, identify key issues requiring focused attention, and organize intensive campaigns to combat and suppress crime, addressing complex and emerging crime problems in the commune.

Thanks to the efforts of the Party Committee, the government, mass organizations, and the local people, especially the police force of Cam Tam commune, the security and order situation in the commune has seen significant improvements. Crime and social vices are under control, and the number of criminal cases has decreased annually; cases have been handled correctly and in accordance with the law. Therefore, there are no complaints or denunciations from citizens. Currently, Cam Tam commune meets criterion 19.2 in the national criteria for communes achieving social security and order standards and ensuring peace; there are no prolonged mass protests; no serious crimes have occurred; and crime and social vices have been continuously curbed and reduced compared to previous years.

Along with combating crime and social vices, the Cam Tam commune police force has done a good job in administrative management of social order, especially in managing residence, temporary residence, and absence. They have successfully developed models such as "Safe Neighborhood Fire Prevention and Control Teams" and "Rural Road Lighting Linked to Security and Order." They have organized households to sign commitments not to store or transport weapons, explosives, supporting tools, or to use fireworks; and to ensure that no family members violate the law or engage in social vices. They have completed the installation of a surveillance camera system to ensure security and order in the area. In addition, the Cam Tam commune police regularly organize armed patrols combined with community patrols. From the beginning of 2023 to the present, the commune police have organized 80 community patrols with 480 participants. Through these patrols, they have promptly detected and dealt with lawbreakers, bringing peace and happiness to the people.

Mr. Pham Hai Lang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cam Tam commune, said: "In recent times, the commune's police force has always played a core role in maintaining security and order. With the active and effective participation of mass organizations and the people, the 'All People Protect National Security' movement in Cam Tam commune has become increasingly profound, contributing to the promotion of socio -economic development."
