Digital bank Cake and Visa have just launched a comprehensive card management system on the cloud using the Visa Cloud Connect solution. Cake is the first Visa client bank to successfully deploy a cloud-based CMS in Vietnam, and is also the first globally to successfully deploy this system through Google Cloud infrastructure. This success marks an important breakthrough in modernizing the payment process and affirms Cake's pioneering position in technology solutions in Vietnam.

Visa Cloud Connect strengthens Cake's secure connection to Visa's global network via the cloud platform, thereby simplifying and optimizing access to Visa's payment system.

Cake’s business using the Visa Cloud Connect platform is expected to achieve outstanding benefits including: reduced data center infrastructure costs, promoting sustainability through operational efficiency, as well as flexible scalability - meeting growing customer demand, future payment innovations. Visa Cloud Connect supports all card types and transactions, with global coverage, while ensuring the highest level of security.

Cake’s proprietary payment processing platform is built on a modern architecture with domain-oriented microservices, event-driven architecture, and leverages Google Cloud’s unique services such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Enterprise, Spanner, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery. Cake recently launched Vietnam’s first one-time virtual debit card technology on the Visa Cloud Connect platform, to be applied to upcoming debit and credit card products.

Launched in January 2021, Cake by VPBank is a purely digital bank that applies artificial intelligence throughout its banking operations in line with the "Next GenAI Bank" orientation.
