On the morning of November 20, the Electronics and Semiconductor Center (ESC) in collaboration with Cadence Company opened the training course "Analog design - Custom IC training" for university lecturers using Cadence's tools and solutions in analog IC design.

This is an activity to implement the contents of the signed cooperation agreement between the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP) and Cadence - one of the world's leading companies providing comprehensive tools and solutions related to automation of electronic and semiconductor design to promote human resource development activities for the semiconductor design field (signed in May 2023). ESC was launched on September 6, 2023 on the basis of a pilot cooperation between SHTP Training Center and Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company, which is the unit assigned to be the focal point for implementing the signed cooperation contents.

Circuit design training course for university lecturers |
The training course “Analog design - Custom IC training” takes place in 3 weeks (from November 20 to December 8, 2023) at ESC, taught directly by Cadence experts. The students are 30 lecturers from universities and training institutions nationwide.
Throughout the program, instructors are required to attend full-time according to the full course schedule, receive guidance and practical support from experienced experts, and practice directly on computers using Cadence's microchip design software tools and solutions.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Anh Thi, Head of SHTP Management Board, this training course is very timely, contributing to improving the training capacity of schools, serving the goal of expanding and opening new semiconductor microcircuit majors, especially in the field of analog microcircuit design, which has not yet met the huge demand for human resources in the present and future.

The highlight of the program is that lecturers have access to the entire Cadence library and teaching materials. Upon completion of the program, lecturers can develop practical IC design teaching materials to teach to students at their schools.
