Group 8, Song Bang Ward organized a conference to collect public opinions on the Project to rearrange administrative units at commune and ward levels in Cao Bang city.

At Group 8, Song Bang Ward, a consultation conference took place with the participation of many people. Here, the people approved the Project on rearranging the province's commune-level administrative units. It emphasized a number of issues related to the locality such as: after the locality rearrangement, 3 new wards will be formed, with names that are historical figures or have many meanings associated with the homeland.

According to the project, 13 adjacent communes and wards (including 11 units of Cao Bang city and 2 communes of Hoa An district) will merge to form 3 new wards. Thuc Phan ward was established from the merger of 5 administrative units: Hop Giang ward, Song Hien ward, De Tham ward, Hung Dao commune and Hoang Tung commune. Song Bang ward will merge with Ngoc Xuan ward and Vinh Quang commune to form a new ward named Nung Tri Cao.

The conference voted to approve the names of the new wards with 100% of the people agreeing.
