On the morning of October 2, the Dak Lak Province Association for Promotion of Education held a conference for religious organizations to join hands to promote the movement of building a learning society and promoting lifelong learning in Dak Lak Province.
Attending the conference were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee H'Yim Kđoh; Chairman of the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning Pham Dang Khoa; Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training Do Tuong Hiep, along with representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and units, religious dignitaries, and representatives of religious organizations in the area.

The report presented at the conference stated that, in recent times, guided by the principles of "good life - beautiful faith" and "religion accompanying the nation," religious organizations in the province have actively participated in the movement to promote learning and talent, build a learning society, promote national cultural identity, build a civilized lifestyle, strengthen national unity, and contribute to the province's socio-economic development. Currently, the province has 261 Education Promotion Boards in religious establishments; 713 religious dignitaries, officials, and clergy participate in the work of the Education Promotion Association; and 161,052 members of the Education Promotion Association are followers and believers.
From 2022 to the present, religious institutions have coordinated with social organizations and schools to raise over 40.3 billion VND to support the construction and repair of 15 classrooms and 90 auxiliary facilities, donate 1,007 bicycles and 37,533 gifts to students, provide scholarships and support for poor students to overcome difficulties and attend school; and raise over 3.4 billion VND to support 2,401 families in overcoming difficulties, creating conditions for their children to study and not drop out of school prematurely…

In order to promote emulation movements to build a learning society and encourage lifelong learning, 166,765 religious followers and believers have registered to become "Learning Citizens"; 72,723 families of religious followers and believers have registered to become "Learning Families"; and 224 religious establishments have registered to become "Learning Religious Communities"...
Besides the achievements, the work of building a learning society and lifelong learning still faces some difficulties such as: the dissemination of the Party and State's guidelines and policies on promoting learning and talent development, and building a learning society has not been implemented promptly in some localities; the results of developing learning promotion organizations and members in religious establishments in localities and religions within the province still show a large disparity; the results of building learning models in religious communities are still low compared to the overall results of the province…

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee H'Yim Kđoh acknowledged and praised the positive and effective contributions of religious organizations in promoting education and talent development, and building a learning society in the province. He also expressed his hope that in the future, religious organizations will continue to pay attention to and effectively coordinate with local authorities and the Association for the Promotion of Learning to promote and participate in the "Dak Lak Emulation Movement to Build a Learning Society and Promote Lifelong Learning in the period 2023-2030" with key tasks such as: replicating models of organizations that nurture and care for orphaned, homeless, and disabled children; supporting poor children and those in difficult circumstances; expanding the model of building "Learning Families"; and encouraging parents to encourage their children to strive for academic excellence, cultivate good morals and life skills, avoid dropping out of school, and not violate school regulations and the law. Promote mobilization work so that the majority of religious people actively respond and participate in the emulation movement to build a learning society, build models of "Learning Citizens", "Learning Families", "Learning Communities"...

On this occasion, the conference awarded Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education to 4 collectives and 5 individuals of the Dak Lak Association for Promoting Education for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to promote learning, encourage talents, and build a learning society, period 2019-2024.

The Dak Lak Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning awarded Certificates of Merit to 19 collectives and 21 individuals from religious organizations for their significant contributions to the movement for promoting learning and talent, building a learning society, and lifelong learning in Dak Lak province over the past five years. The Provincial Fund for the Promotion of Learning provided support to 15 students who are children of religious dignitaries, officials, and followers with particularly difficult circumstances in the area, with each support grant worth 1 million VND.
