(HNMO) - Conductor Honna Tetsuji and artists of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra performed for more than 200 students of Hy Hope School to celebrate International Children's Day June 1 during their second school year in Da Nang city.
According to Ms. Truong Thanh Thanh, Director of FPT Social Responsibility and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Hope Fund, in the past school year, students of the Hope School achieved many outstanding achievements at the national and city levels, such as the Bronze Medal in the National Vovinam Competition for High School Students; ranked 52/156 in the 2023 National VEX IQ Robotics Championship; Third Prize and Encouragement Prize for excellent students at the city level.
In addition, the children had a year of many experiences and learned interesting knowledge when participating in nearly 20 clubs, such as biological soap making classes, drawing classes, baking classes, carpentry classes...
This year's Children's Day at Hy Vong School, a school that nurtures and educates children who have unfortunately lost their parents to Covid-19 in Da Nang, took place in a joyful and happy atmosphere, with many colorful experiences. The program had the participation of many special domestic and international guests. Among them, there was conductor Honna Tetsuji and artists of the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra; artisan Nguyen Trong Thin, owner of the Pho Thin brand... This is also the second time that artisan Nguyen Trong Thin has had an exchange, chatted and cooked Hanoi Pho to treat the school's students.
The students also listened to the Hope Concert performed by artists from the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO), under the direction of conductor Honna Tetsuji, performing many famous folk works. Students from the Hope School also confidently performed with the orchestra the songs: Age of Endless Life, Coming Back to Eat Rice... as a thank you to the guests attending.
In addition, the school also organized an award ceremony for the Hope painting contest; English exchange with foreign volunteers...
Hy Vong Primary, Secondary and High School was established by FPT Corporation and Hy Vong Fund, located in FPT City Urban Area, Da Nang, to nurture and train students who lost their parents due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the desire to share, love, and help them grow up.
FPT Board Chairman Truong Gia Binh is the one who initiated the idea of building a school for children who lost their parents due to Covid-19 nationwide, with the desire to create an environment for them to be cared for, loved, studied and trained, turning pain into strength, thereby growing up and contributing to building the country in the future.
