Loc Phat Vietnam Bank (LPBank) has just announced the minutes of the 2024 extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, in which it approved a proposal to change the bank's headquarters location.
Previously, LPBank's Board of Directors (BOD) asked shareholders for their opinions on changing the location of the head office to build the bank's image, brand, and position, thereby promoting strong development of effective, dynamic, and professional business.
In the report to the shareholders' meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of LPBank, said that the basis for the proposal to move LPBank's headquarters to another location is in line with the bank's development orientation, creating conditions for the bank to expand its market, especially increasing its presence in rural areas and type 2 urban areas...
LPBank is a bank that has just had its headquarters relocation plan approved by the extraordinary shareholders' meeting in 2024.
LPBank plans to move its current headquarters from LPB Tower, 210 Tran Quang Khai Street, Trang Tien Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi City to another location in Vietnam - in line with the bank's short-term, medium-term and long-term development orientation.
The decision on the specific location for LPBank's headquarters will be made by LPBank's Board of Directors, ensuring full conditions for safe and effective operations in accordance with regulations of competent state management agencies.
LPBank is not the first bank planning to move its headquarters this year.
Previously, in the submission to the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders scheduled to be held on November 28, the Board of Directors of Vietnam Export Import Bank (Eximbank) expressed its desire to change the location of the bank's headquarters from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi.
Eximbank's headquarters is located at Vincom Center Building, 72 Le Thanh Ton, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Eximbank’s Board of Directors, the bank is currently investing heavily in technology and flexibly deploying solutions based on a new mindset in approaching customers and markets. In addition to continuing to consolidate its position in the Southern market, Eximbank has identified the North as a dynamic market with much room for exploration. The bank aims to expand its distribution network and reach potential customers in this region, to seize market opportunities, helping to increase revenue, profit and brand influence.
" Moving Eximbank's headquarters to Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi is a strategic step for the bank to expand its operations and continuously reach out, in order to respond to market changes as well as help effectively implement its business strategy, " the Board of Directors' report stated.
By September 30, 2024, Eximbank's network of operations includes 215 branches and transaction offices nationwide.
