On the morning of November 8, comrade Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, offered incense at the Memorial Site of comrade Luong Van Thang, Secretary of the first Communist Party Cell of Ninh Binh in Lu Phong village, Quynh Luu commune, Nho Quan district.
Also attending the incense offering were comrades: Tong Quang Thin, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; To Van Tu, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee; leaders of a number of departments and branches of the province and Nho Quan district.
Comrade Luong Van Thang was born in 1865 in a Confucian family in Lu Phong commune, Quynh Luu canton, Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh province, now Lu Phong village, Quynh Luu commune, Nho Quan district.
On June 24, 1929, the Lu Phong village Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association branch was transformed into the Indochinese Communist Party branch with 8 members. Comrade Luong Van Thang was the Secretary. This was the first communist branch of Ninh Binh province.
During the years of revolutionary activities, he and the revolutionary organization propagated and mobilized to build many revolutionary bases in Nho Quan and Gia Vien districts and gave advice to the Party organization to lead a number of struggles in local revolutionary movements to victory.
At the grave of comrade Luong Van Thang, Provincial Party Secretary Doan Minh Huan and the delegation respectfully offered incense to commemorate and express gratitude for the great contributions and dedication of comrade Luong Van Thang to his homeland Ninh Binh in particular and to the revolutionary cause of the entire Party and people in general.
Inheriting and promoting the fine traditions built and laid the foundation from the first Party cell with comrade Luong Van Thang as Secretary, through the revolutionary stages and Congresses, Ninh Binh Party Committee has been growing stronger and stronger, its leadership capacity and fighting strength have been increasingly enhanced, continuing to maintain and promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity to overcome difficulties and challenges, determined to build Ninh Binh to develop quickly and sustainably, becoming a tourist center of the region, the country and the world.
