Localities introduce many attractive tourism products and destinations at VITM Hanoi 2024

On April 11, many conferences to promote and advertise local tourism were held within the framework of the Vietnam International Tourism Fair - VITM Hanoi 2024.

Promoting Mekong Delta destinations

The Mekong Delta Tourism Association, Kien Giang Department of Tourism and Kien Giang Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center jointly organized a conference to promote tourism in the Mekong Delta and Kien Giang in Hanoi .

The conference was held to introduce and promote the basic features of the image, information and tourism potential of 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta to local delegates and tourism businesses in Hanoi and the northern provinces, and at the same time exchange experiences and sign cooperation agreements on tourism development between the two regions.

Speaking here, Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Luu Trung said that the Mekong Delta has an area of ​​40,500km2 , a total population of nearly 18 million people, a 386km border with Cambodia and international and national border gates, forming a favorable connection between the region and the markets of Cambodia, Thailand...

The region has four international airports and two domestic airports. It is also home to nearly 200 islands and archipelagos, close to international sea and air routes between South Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia and other populations in the Pacific.

In 2024, Kien Giang, as the Head of the Cluster of Cooperation and Linkage for Tourism Development in the Western Mekong Delta, has closely coordinated with provinces and cities to develop practical cooperation content, close to the conditions of each locality; organizing tourism activities and events of the cluster increasingly effectively.

At the conference, travel agencies and tourism service businesses of the Mekong Delta provinces introduced many attractive products and destinations as well as the potential of culinary tourism, community tourism, cultural tourism... to tourism businesses of Hanoi and neighboring provinces in the Northern region.

According to Deputy Director of the National Tourism Administration Ha Van Sieu, cooperation, introduction and promotion programs like this have been playing a good role in stimulating demand and developing tourism in localities, thereby avoiding duplication of products, supporting investment in building new products, overcoming weaknesses in human resources, management, etc.

Mr. Ha Van Sieu suggested that localities continue to build bold, widespread, and specific destination promotion campaigns on digital platforms in the coming time.

"One journey, many experiences"

That is the theme of the Ninh Binh-Thanh Hoa-Nghe An-Ha Tinh Tourism Promotion Conference. For the third time, the four localities jointly organized an event on the sidelines of VITM Hanoi. They wanted to introduce and promote the image of destinations, markets, tourism products, new services and typical tourism events in 2024 to attract tourists to the provinces; build the tourism image of the four localities through linking into one journey, many experiences.

At the Conference, localities brought attractive messages such as: "Ninh Binh - The world's leading friendly destination", "Thanh Hoa Tourism - Four seasons of fragrance", "Nghe An - Return to the Vi Giam region", "Ha Tinh - Return to Ha Tinh, my friend".

Within the framework of the program, delegates visited the exhibition space of publications and typical products of the 4 provinces; watched a joint video presentation about the potential and tourism products of the 4 localities.

Representatives of the four localities introduced new tourism products, outstanding events and typical tourism activities of the province in 2024; exchanged and discussed together to come up with solutions to develop the tourism industry more strongly in the coming time.

Appreciating the results achieved by the tourism industry of the four provinces, Mr. Pham Van Thuy, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, suggested that the provinces coordinate, aiming to build a common tourism product, with the connection of the four provinces; continue to share information, experience, and coordinate in tourism management, in order to retain tourists so that tourism can develop further.

Exploiting the strengths of Thai Nguyen tea region

The conference to promote and advertise tourism in Thai Nguyen province was held with the aim of promoting and introducing the culture, destinations, products, potentials and strengths of tourism products in Thai Nguyen province.

The conference provided a list of projects to attract investment in the tourism sector in Thai Nguyen province, sought investment partnership opportunities, signed cooperation agreements to exploit and develop tourism resources to the fullest, and diversified typical tourism products to contribute to increasing the number of tourists to Thai Nguyen.

In addition, the conference promotes cooperation with provinces and cities across the country to develop the tourism sector, enhance promotion, cooperation in product development, and promote the image of Thai Nguyen tourism to domestic and foreign tourists.

Here, representatives of Thai Nguyen province introduced a number of tourism stimulus programs connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Thai Nguyen and some neighboring provinces and cities in the Northeast region.

At the same time, associations and travel businesses exchanged and contributed ideas to help Thai Nguyen tourism promote its strengths and potential to attract tourists in the coming time; signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Thai Nguyen Tourism Association and the Tourism Associations of the following provinces and cities: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Hung Yen.

In recent years, Thai Nguyen tourism activities have improved, developing typical tourism products of the region on the basis of promoting advantages and potentials, creating a good impression in the hearts of tourists.

Thai Nguyen province focuses on developing four main tourism product lines, including: Cultural, spiritual, historical, and origin tourism; eco-tourism and resort tourism; community and rural tourism associated with tea culture; MICE tourism, sports, and adventure cave exploration.

In particular, when mentioning Thai Nguyen, people will associate the image of Thai Nguyen with immense tea fields - one of the typical and outstanding tourism products in this land.

In famous tea growing areas in Thai Nguyen province, cooperatives and tea production facilities have invested in developing accommodation and food services, taking care of beautiful tea fields, building processing areas, introducing and selling tea products as well as spacious tasting spaces for tourists to visit and experience.
