Localities and units strengthen forest fire prevention and fighting

Accordingly, the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts and cities must take full responsibility for forest fire prevention and fighting in their areas of management. Localities need to proactively and resolutely implement fire prevention and fighting measures according to the "4 on-site" motto, minimizing damage caused by forest fires. Commune-level People's Committees and relevant agencies must strengthen inspection and supervision of forest fire prevention and fighting, considering this a key and continuous task.

In addition, localities need to review and identify key areas, arrange forces to be on duty 24/7, set up checkpoints, patrol and guard, and strictly control people entering and leaving forest areas at high risk of fire. When a fire is detected, it is necessary to mobilize forces to quickly extinguish the fire, minimizing damage.

The Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police are required to review and complete the coordination plan between the armed forces and local forces in forest fire prevention and fighting. Units need to proactively develop plans to support fire fighting and be ready to mobilize forces and means when required.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment is responsible for closely monitoring weather developments, forecasting and warning of forest fire risks, and promptly informing localities and the media. The Department needs to strengthen inspections of forest fire prevention and fighting in localities, especially in key and border areas.

Tuyen Quang Newspaper, the Provincial Radio and Television Station and media agencies in the province need to step up propaganda work, raise people's awareness of forest protection and forest fire prevention and fighting. At the same time, update and promptly report on forest fire warnings and forecasts so that people can proactively prevent them.
