Attending the meeting were Dr. Dang Manh Trung, former Head of the Central Propaganda Department's representative office in Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of the Association of Former Teachers of the Ministry of Education and Training in Ho Chi Minh City.

Participating in the exchange with students were Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Van Ngai, former Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City; former Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, former Vice Principal of Dong Nai Pedagogical College Phan Sy Anh (now Dong Nai University) and staff and lecturers of the school.

At the meeting, nearly 500 students of Dong Nai University's education department listened to former teachers recount beautiful memories of their journey to the teaching profession and the difficult years when they entered the profession, especially the years after the day the South was completely liberated and the country was reunified (April 30, 1975).

Former teachers also shared with students the qualities needed to become a good teacher, especially in the current period, when teaching and learning have changed a lot, requiring pedagogical students to constantly strive for innovation and creativity, both in the classroom and in the actual teaching process later on.

One of the wishes of the former teachers for the students conveyed through the exchange is to maintain the noble qualities of teachers. Teachers must be shining examples in both thought and action, with a spirit of dedication, love for the profession, and wholehearted love for students.
