The Thoi Binh Ward Cultural - Sports Center, formerly the An Phu Ward Cultural - Sports Center, which has been operating effectively, has now further promoted its function thanks to the "Coffee and Books" model. Unlike the image often seen in coffee shops, many people only focus on their phone screens, rarely interacting or chatting, customers of the small coffee shop in the Thoi Binh Ward Cultural - Sports Center often read books and discuss the content of the books. Not only choosing books to read and learn information, but from the content of the pages, many people also discuss and exchange about current events, knowledge, etc.

The reading space is richly arranged with books from Thoi Binh Ward Library. Coffee drinkers can choose their favorite books and read them completely free of charge. Mr. Nguyen Tan Hoang, who often brings his children here to drink coffee and read children's stories with them, shared that this model is very good and meaningful. His family has more time to relax, read books and play with their children. In particular, because Thoi Binh Ward Cultural - Sports Center has many cultural and sports activities, attracting a large number of young people, the "Coffee and Books" model is even more effective.

Ms. Dang Ngoc Thuy, President of the Women's Union of Thoi Binh Ward, said: The "Coffee and Books" model was implemented by the Association with the desire to create activities to help female members have a space to exchange and learn from books, promoting the function of the Cultural - Sports Center of the ward. At the same time, this is also a place for the Association to organize meetings, exchanges, and discuss work, instead of in the meeting room. "Nowadays, when having coffee, people have the habit of clicking on their phones, not caring about or communicating with each other. A lot of information on social networks is not filtered and verified. So the "Coffee and Books" model aims to connect people, arousing the love of reading", Ms. Dang Ngoc Thuy shared.

It can be said that the book cafe model is not new, but with the Thoi Binh Ward Women's Union integrating it into the association's activities, attracting many participants, especially young people, families... it has shown clear effectiveness. Ms. Trinh My Huong, a woman in area 11, Thoi Binh Ward, said: Morning coffee entertainment is a habit of many people, so the ward has a book cafe space, attracting more people. Many people also shared that they have not held a book to read for a long time, but mainly grasp information through phones and television. Sitting and sipping a cup of coffee and turning each page of a book, the feeling is very interesting.

Ms. Dang Ngoc Thuy, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Thoi Binh Ward, said: Revenue from the "Coffee and Books" model and the dumpling display in front of the Ward Cultural - Sports Center is mainly used to organize union activities, attracting members to participate. When funding is guaranteed, the union will distribute dumplings to people in difficult circumstances. In the first distribution of dumplings at the end of March, the union gave away about 150 dumplings to people.
