There is only one locality in the country that has not yet reached the measles vaccination rate.

On the afternoon of April 4, the Ministry of Health issued a press release on the results of the implementation of the 2025 Measles Vaccination Campaign, Phase 2, in 54 provinces and cities (except for 9 provinces and cities including Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Ca Mau, Kon Tum, Long An, Soc Trang, Ben Tre, Kien Giang, and Bac Lieu, which are not included in the campaign because they have completed the vaccination campaign since 2024 and Phase 1 in 2025).

According to the Ministry of Health, the target of measles vaccination in the campaign is children from 6 months to under 9 months old, children from 1 to 10 years old who have not been fully vaccinated with measles-containing vaccines as prescribed, with the goal of covering 95% or more.

As of April 3, 53/54 provinces and cities have vaccinated 762,320/800,719 subjects, reaching 95.2% (meeting the planned target). In particular, Can Tho City has completed vaccination for groups of subjects with a high rate in 2024 and early 2025, so there are still a few subjects that need vaccination and will be integrated into regular vaccination days.

Many provinces and cities have a measles vaccination rate of over 95% for children.

Among the localities participating in the campaign, 40 provinces achieved a vaccination rate of over 95%. During the implementation of the 2nd phase of the 2025 Measles Vaccination Campaign, the Ministry of Health issued documents directing and guiding localities to accelerate the campaign implementation progress and established 6 inspection teams to monitor, guide, and direct epidemic prevention and control work and implement the measles vaccination campaign in 25 provinces and cities from March 20 to 31.
