On the morning of March 8, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union organized a meeting to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day March 8 and the 1985th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising, along with a folk dance performance in Ao Dai, at Nguyen Hue walking street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Nguyen Thi Le - Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Hien - Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union, ambassadors of the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival and more than 3,000 people wearing Ao Dai.

More than 3,000 people wearing Ao Dai and ambassadors performed folk dances with joyful movements to the medley " A Country Full of Joy - Spring" in Ho Chi Minh City .
Brother who overcame thousands of hardships Tang Phuc is one of the singers who took on the role of image ambassador for the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival for the first time.
Tang Phuc shared with Tuoi Tre Online that he was honored to be an ambassador.
"Coincidentally, in the upcoming concert Anh trai vu ngan cong gai , the producer encouraged the audience to wear national costumes to watch the concert.
Tang Phuc often wears ao dai and shares pictures on Facebook to inspire fans to wear ao dai, making wearing ao dai normal" - Tang Phuc said.
Notably, for the first time, the organizers of the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival organized a traditional costume parade with nearly 1,000 participants.
The activity contributes to honoring the beauty of our country's traditional costumes. This is also the largest-scale ancient costume parade ever.
Nearly 1,000 people wearing the five-panel ao dai and traditional costumes walked through central streets of Ho Chi Minh City such as: Nguyen Hue - Le Loi - Ben Thanh central station ( Metro line 1 ) - City Theater - 23/9 Park - Bui Vien.

Promoting the role of protecting the legitimate rights of women and children
Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Hien - President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union - reviewed the tradition of celebrating International Women's Day and the Hai Ba Trung uprising.
On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union awarded the excellent emulation flag to the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union and certificates of merit to 5 units with many achievements leading the emulation cluster, including: Women's Unions of Districts 3, 11, 12, Cu Chi District and Women's Union of Ho Chi Minh City Police.

Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Nguyen Thi Le highly appreciated and commended the achievements in the emulation movement and association work in 2024.
