(Dan Tri) - More than 1,400 students at a high school in Dak Lak waved, cheered the principal's name, said thank you and sang the song "Chalk Dust" to show their gratitude before he officially retired.

On October 31, Facebook posted a clip of thousands of students standing in the hallways of their classrooms to pay their respects and say goodbye to their retired principal.

The clip was filmed at Phan Chu Trinh High School (Ea Ral commune, Ea H'leo district, Dak Lak).

In the clip, thousands of students stood in the hallway of the classroom, hanging two banners with the principal's picture and the words "Mr. Hoang Minh Ngoc is forever the best" and "We thank you, teacher".

When the principal entered the school yard, all the students cheered, sang along to the song "Chalk Dust" and many students ran to hug the principal to give him flowers.

Touched by the students' affection, the principal shared: "I appreciate you students, you make me very touched and I will never forget this memory. I thank you."

It is known that the clip was filmed on the morning of October 31 when Mr. Hoang Minh Ngoc, Principal of Phan Chu Trinh High School, came to school to complete the procedures to receive his retirement decision from November 1.

Mr. Luu Tien Quang, Deputy Director of Dak Lak Departmentof Education and Training, said that after graduating from Quy Nhon Pedagogical University, Mr. Hoang Minh Ngoc returned to Ea H'leo district - a locality with many difficulties - to work for nearly 40 years.

According to Mr. Quang, Mr. Ngoc has made many contributions to the education sector of Dak Lak province since the difficult and arduous times, always completing all assigned tasks excellently.

"Mr. Ngoc is a exemplary teacher, meticulous in all his work. Therefore, it is understandable that he is loved and emotionally expressed by many students and teachers on his farewell day before his retirement," the Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training shared.
