On the morning of September 3, many people in Ca Mau city were excited to see long lines of green electric cars carrying passengers on some inner-city routes.

Mr. Tran Van Huu (residing in Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province) shared: "I find riding an electric car to see the city scenery very interesting, environmentally friendly, and reduces traffic congestion."

According to the Department of Transport of Ca Mau province, electric tourist cars contribute to environmental protection, without causing dust or noise.

This electric car serves tourists on inner-city routes of Ca Mau city, through tourist attractions, landmarks, typical relics, and unique local tourism products.

Mr. Tang Vu Em, Vice Chairman of Ca Mau City People's Committee, said that in recent years, the tourism industry has been recovering and developing strongly.

The province also regularly organizes events to promote Ca Mau - an annual destination, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to visit. The average number of tourists to the city reaches 1.6 million visitors/year.

"I hope that, in addition to their duty of transporting passengers safely, tram staff will also be friendly and hospitable tour guides," said Mr. Em.

According to the electric tourist car project approved by Ca Mau province, the first phase of the electric tourist car project in Ca Mau city includes 15 cars, with an investment cost of 15 billion VND, from socialized sources.
