During the Hue Traditional Craft Festival, the Hue City government organizes a Street Performance Festival with the participation of many local art troupes and a stilt troupe from the Kingdom of Belgium. Throughout the performance route, the art troupes will take turns performing traditional cultural acts.

The photo series was taken by the author in Thua Thien Hue during the Hue Festival 2024. These stilt-walking performances have created excitement for thousands of tourists and Hue people during the Hue Festival 2024. This is also an opportunity for Vietnam to exchange culture with countries around the world, and is also a testament to a happy and safe Vietnam. The photo series was also submitted by the author to the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam", organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

An art troupe from the Kingdom of Belgium performed on stilts on Hai Ba Trung walking street. The troupe has participated in many Hue Festivals in recent years, creating a good impression on audiences and tourists. The art troupes performed on the main streets of Hue such as: Tran Hung Dao, Le Loi, Chu Van An, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Trieu, Ha Huy Tap, combining movement with music and dance performances.

This is the fifth time and this year, the troupe has nearly 50 artists. They move on stilts from 1 to 5 meters high, one after another, rhythmically and skillfully. Occasionally, they make the audience gasp in fear by "doing tricks" by shaking and swaying on the towering stilts.

Not stopping there, they also had extremely unique performances, such as low stilts walking under high stilts, controlling their feet to lift the stilts high, running at speed on stilts... Each performance made the audience nervous but then everyone burst out... cheering.

Amidst the sound of drums and applause from the tourists, the Belgian actor performed difficult poses on stilts.

Two Street Festival performances by the De Koninklijke Steltenlopers Merchtem Art Troupe from Belgium left a deep impression on the Hue audience. The routes the troupe passed through became stages for performances and the antics made the audience's hearts skip a beat.

In 2024, the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam" continues to be organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the website https://happy.vietnam.vn for all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over. The contest aims to honor individuals and groups with positive information products, making practical contributions to the propaganda and promotion of beautiful images of Vietnam to the world. Thereby helping people in the country, compatriots abroad and international friends access authentic images of the country, Vietnamese people, Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights, towards a happy Vietnam.

Each contest category (photo and video) has the following prizes and prize values:

– 02 Silver Medals: 20,000,000 VND
– 03 Bronze Medals: 10,000,000 VND
– 10 Consolation prizes: 5,000,000 VND
– 01 most voted work: 5,000,000 VND
The winning authors will be invited by the Organizing Committee to attend the announcement ceremony and award prizes and certificates on live television broadcast of Vietnam Television.
