Accordingly, customers will easily identify and authenticate biometric information by connecting the VNeID application directly on BVBank's Digimi Digital Bank. The system will automatically compare and verify information quickly, accurately and securely, instead of having to manually enter data or requiring mobile devices to have NFC technology as before.
The deployment of identification and authentication features via VNeID on Digimi Digital Bank helps customers shorten the time to open an account and perform financial transactions such as money transfer, card payment, bills, etc. In addition, this feature also minimizes the risk of fraud and brings a seamless, continuous experience to customers when transacting online.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Colonel Ngo Nhu Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order - Ministry of Public Security shared: “The implementation of electronic authentication service via VNeID not only helps people easily make payment transactions, but also contributes to protecting information security and minimizing the risk of fraud in online transactions. In addition to linking with the VNeID application to update biometric information, users can easily use the BVBank application to pay bills and public services on the VNeID application. This cooperation between the RAR Center and BVBank marks a new step forward, contributing to promoting digital transformation and cashless payments, building a safe digital environment so that everyone can access and benefit from digital utilities”.
The five key tasks that the RAR Center and BVBank will jointly implement in the coming time will be an important foundation to improve the quality of payment activities, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, while bringing many practical and safe utilities to people and businesses, Mr. Ngo Nhu Cuong emphasized.
In the period of 2025-2030, with the goal of building an effective electronic identification and authentication model, associated with digital signatures and electronic contracts, creating a digital government platform to serve the people, the national database on population and VNeID will continue to be maintained and operated to serve customers such as: application forms, declarations with standardized and unified citizen information; records related to population management are processed online (except for confidential records); perfecting the digital ecosystem in performing administrative procedures and providing online public services associated with digital transformation of production and business activities, etc.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu - Deputy Director of the Payment Department, State Bank of Vietnam also assessed BVBank as one of the banks actively implementing Plan 01/KHPH/NHNN-BCA between the State Bank and the Ministry of Public Security to implement Project 06 as well as the Digital Transformation Plan of the Banking Industry. She added: "The cooperation of commercial banks with the Ministry of Public Security to connect the electronic identification and authentication system via VNeID is of great significance, helping to accurately identify customers, contributing to facilitating the digital transformation of the Vietnamese Banking industry".

Recently, BVBank has also quickly deployed NFC facial biometric authentication for online transactions according to Decision 2345/QD-NHNN (July 1, 2024) and Circular 50/2024/TT-NHNN (October 31, 2024) of the State Bank. In 2024, 92% of new customers will come from digital channels, an increase of 40% compared to 2023; the total number of transactions on digital channels will also increase by 40% compared to the previous year.
