Editor Quang Minh apologizes
On the evening of April 15, through his personal page with more than 613,000 followers, BTV Quang Minh officially spoke up when netizens called him out about the milk advertising scandal. He said that in the past few days, he had listened to and read all the messages on social networking platforms, and there were many responses from the public regarding his appearance in articles introducing milk products.
In the post, BTV Quang Minh apologized for letting the incident happen, causing public concern and making many people who love him feel disappointed. The male BTV said this was something he did not want. "This afternoon, I also read the brand's correction, and even saw the list of ingredients announced after inspection and testing by the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Control, the ingredients in the milk meet the quality and permitted ratio (provided by the brand). But honestly, I still want to receive this information from the authorities, to ensure the objectivity of the products I have participated in," he shared.
According to Quang Minh, he is not a doctor or nutritionist, and has never intended to guarantee or affirm the medical value of any product. As a public figure, he appeared in those promotional videos as an introduction, based on information provided by the brand, within the framework of a legal media contract and his own and his family's experiences over a period of time. Quang Minh said that his children are still using the milk and he has only stopped it for the past few days to wait for the results of ingredient testing.
Quang Minh admits he was careless in choosing who he accompanied.

However, Quang Minh understands that using personal images to advertise health-related products affects the audience's expectations. He wrote: "I clearly understand that when a personal image is associated with a health-related product, the level of expectation and demand from the public is very high. If that appearance has unintentionally caused misunderstanding or made someone feel misled, I will take responsibility. I do not avoid or blame. But I hope to be heard and understood: I have never intentionally taken advantage of the audience's trust for personal gain. If there is anything that disappoints people, it is the lack of care in choosing what I accompany. And I consider that a profound and somewhat bitter lesson."
Stop all advertising of functional foods and food supplements
Also in the post, Editor Quang Minh said that from the beginning of 2025, he decided to terminate all advertising contracts for products related to dietary supplements, functional foods, etc. to devote more attention to his professional work as well as his family life. He said that this was not a reaction after an incident, but a pre-considered choice, stemming from the desire to do his work in a focused and professional manner, as he has always pursued.
The male editor affirmed that he never intended to take advantage of the audience's trust for personal gain.

Finally, Quang Minh apologized to all the audience, saying that he would be more careful and thorough in everything he does in the future. "I would like to thank those who gave their comments, whether gentle or harsh, because they all stemmed from expectations and concern. And most of all, I would like to sincerely apologize to my audience, those who have always followed, loved and trusted me throughout the long journey. I will be more careful and thorough in everything I choose in the future to be worthy of that trust. As for the violations and the handling measures... I am ready to accept them sincerely, because whatever I do, I have to bear the consequences," he expressed.
Editor Quang Minh's post quickly attracted the attention of netizens. Regarding choosing to limit comments on his personal Facebook, he explained that he did not want his children to read negative and harmful comments that would affect their psychology.
Previously, the information that the police investigation agency initiated a case and temporarily detained 8 people to investigate 2 crimes of producing 573 brands of powdered milk for people with diabetes, kidney failure, premature babies, premature babies and pregnant women attracted public attention. The products declared ingredients containing substances such as bird's nest extract, cordyceps, macadamia powder, walnut powder... but in reality, they did not contain these substances at all. The incident attracted special public attention because in the past, many artists and celebrities have also participated in advertising some types of milk.
