People's Artist Xuan Bac said that the works all convey positive messages in a gentle and humorous way.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, People's Artist Xuan Bac, Chairman of the Jury of the Festival, assessed that the Stage Arts Festival for Children and Youth for the first time gathered art units nationwide with diverse genres, such as drama, musical, circus, Cheo, Southern folk songs, puppetry, magic. The works all had educational messages, aimed at raising awareness, conveying positive messages in a gentle and humorous way to children and youth.

In addition, the Chairman of the Jury acknowledged and pointed out the shortcomings of this festival such as the number of stage works for children is still too small. Some creative elements and actors still bring an adult perspective to the works submitted, the performance of some artists makes many works submitted not have an innocent, pure, lovely perspective that attracts children.

Many units have not really distinguished clearly between works about children and works for children, leading to plays that do not really attract young audiences. Some works also have loose structures, lack of persuasion, incoherent stories, inappropriate and sensitive situations, which can easily cause confusion in young audiences' perception of the meaning and message of the work.

People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui

In her closing speech, People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui, President of the Vietnam Stage Artists Association and Head of the Festival Steering Committee, said that with 17 plays performed by 14 art troupes nationwide, the festival brought children an artistic atmosphere with lots of laughter, joy, and lessons learned.

People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui expressed her hope that from this festival, artists will gain more knowledge and professional experience, continue to improve their skills, create more meaningful and quality works to serve the youth and children, the future owners of the country, and at the same time build a young audience for the stage.
