The first four schools in Hanoi finalize the 6th grade entrance exam schedule in 2025

According to the announcement of Newton Secondary and High School , the 2025-2026 scholarship exam for talented students entering grade 6 will take place with 2 subjects: Math and English, scheduled for December 7.

Parents register before November 25, fee is 500,000 VND/student. Exam results will be announced before December 21.

Nguyen Sieu School also announced the recruitment of 210 students for grade 6 in the 2025-2026 school year for the following classes: Cambridge International Bilingual and Math and English Enhancement classes.

Students will participate in the following exams: Cambridge English, comprehensive competency assessment (English and Vietnamese), computer-based and paper-based exams combined with interviews.

Archimedes Education System also announced enrollment for grade 6 in the 2025-2026 school year with 700 positions, of which Cau Giay campus will enroll 360 students, the rest will be Dong Anh campus. The test includes a conditional test (Math, Vietnamese, English) and an advanced test (Advanced Math and Advanced English).

The school recruits 2 training models including: standard class and high-quality class, teaching the main curriculum according to the standard program of the Ministry of Education and Training (Knowledge Connection book series).

For the standard class, the admission score is the total score of 3 subjects: Math (coefficient 2), Vietnamese, English (coefficient 2). The school will consider from high to low. The standard class will study Math, Literature, English, and Natural Sciences.

For high quality, students need to meet the following conditions: "Complete Well" in terms of quality and capacity in grades 3-5; take additional advanced tests corresponding to the exam, achieve a conditional score equivalent to the standard score for the standard class. The admission score is the score of the Advanced Math exam; Conditional Math, Advanced English or interview, depending on the class. The high quality class will study additional Math, Literature, English, Natural Science and Advanced subjects according to the wishes and abilities of the students.

Archimedes University has not yet announced the exam schedule. Last year, the exam was held in March.

Hanoi Star Primary and Secondary School plans to enroll 204 sixth graders for the 2025-2026 school year, divided into six classes. The school will open registration from October 22 until the quota is filled.

According to the announcement, the school will directly admit students who have won gold medals, international cups, first prizes at the city and national levels in Math, Science, English, Arts, and Sports (organized by reputable organizations). The achievements are counted in grades 3, 4, and 5.

The application period for this category is from October 22 to January 31, 2025. The interview period is from December 2024 to February 2025.

The remaining students will be admitted by the school through an aptitude test, which will be held in February 2025. Students currently in grade 5 at the school will receive 1 point/subject when considering admission.
