BTO-On the morning of September 25, the School of Cultural - Sports - Tourism Management in collaboration with the Department of Home Affairs of Binh Thuan organized the opening ceremony of the Training course on skills for developing and managing the night-time economy in Binh Thuan.
Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism attended the opening ceremony of the course, along with 30 students, who are currently officials, civil servants, public employees, and leaders of departments and branches in the province. Binh Thuan is one of the first provinces in the country to organize a training course on this content.
During the 3 days from September 25-27, the students will learn about the skills of developing and managing the night economy in Binh Thuan, an overview of the night economy model in Binh Thuan; opportunities and challenges in developing the night economy in Binh Thuan. During the course, the students will also have time to experience some night economy models in Ho Chi Minh City to draw experiences that can be studied and applied in the actual context of developing the night economy in the province.
The project "Developing the night-time economy in Vietnam" was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1129 dated July 27, 2020. Binh Thuan is a locality that attracts a large number of domestic and international tourists, but developing the night-time economy in Binh Thuan is facing difficulties. Specifically, there is a lack of specific policies to encourage the development of the night-time economy through the provision of cultural, entertainment, culinary, and shopping services; night-time products and services are still not really diverse, mainly food and drink, and cultural and artistic activities are not many...
The training course helps students equip themselves with general knowledge about building and managing the night economy to orient a professional night economy model with a state control and management mechanism suitable to the actual situation in the locality.
