Training knowledge and skills in communication and civilized tourism behavior for ferry drivers

On the morning of September 12, the Department of Tourism opened a training course on knowledge, communication skills, and civilized behavior in tourism activities for 180 officers, employees, and boatmen working at Trang An Eco-tourism Area.

Trang An eco-tourism area is   The top attractive destination for tourists when coming to Ninh Binh. With a large number of visitors throughout the year, it has created jobs and livelihoods for the people. For a long time, the image of the boatman in Trang An has left a deep impression on tourists, especially international visitors. However, most of the boatmen in Trang An Eco-tourism Area come from farming. Therefore, training and supplementing skills and knowledge for workers to serve the development of local tourism is very important.

Participating in the training course, students will be provided with knowledge about the role of tourism workers in tourism activities by lecturers from Hanoi College of Tourism; together they will discuss and clarify the advantages and limitations in current tourist service work. At the same time, lecturers will provide practical behavioral situations in communication to help students gain more knowledge, skills, and enhance their sense of responsibility in building a civilized and healthy tourism environment, better meeting new requirements and demands in tourism activities.

The training course took place over 2 days, September 12-13, at the Trang An Eco-tourism Area Hall (Truong Yen Commune, Hoa Lu District).
