At the conference, the new soldiers were informed by the reporter of Naval Region 5 about the basic contents about the position, role and importance of Vietnam's seas and islands in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; the current situation in our country's seas; the role of the Vietnam People's Navy in managing and protecting the sovereignty of seas and islands and the responsibilities of Navy officers and soldiers in performing their assigned duties and tasks.

Private Nguyen Ngoc Tinh, a soldier of Platoon 1, Company 25, Battalion 563, shared: “Before joining the army, I had researched and learned some information related to Vietnam's seas and islands through newspapers and radio. Coming to today's conference, through the content conveyed by the reporter, I had the opportunity to understand more fully and deeply the situation of my homeland's seas and islands."
Private Duong Ngoc Hai, soldier of Platoon 4, Company 26, Battalion 563, confided: "The information provided by the reporter is diverse, concise, succinct, and easy to understand. That helps us easily absorb the content, raise awareness, and serve as a basis for application in the process of performing tasks at the unit."
