On May 12, Boeing Corporation officially inaugurated a permanent office in Hanoi to strengthen its commitment to the Vietnamese market.
“The relationship between Boeing and Vietnam is growing stronger every day, continuously collaborating to develop the country’s aerospace capabilities. This new office will help Boeing better serve local customers and stakeholders, while creating a strong foundation for future growth,” said Michael Nguyen, Director of Boeing Vietnam.

This is considered a good sign in the context that Boeing has been closely cooperating with Vietnam’s aerospace industry for nearly 30 years. This enterprise also focuses on collaborating and building capacity for Vietnamese enterprises in the fields of manufacturing, technical services, aviation safety, sustainability, as well as research and technology.
"Every Boeing manufactured in the world has components from Vietnam," Mr. Michael Vu Nguyen affirmed at the Aerospace Industry Forum in Vietnam held last August. Items that Vietnam produces include wings and aircraft doors.
"If Vietnam has quality human resources, a reasonable investment environment and the attention of the Government , Vietnam will be a very potential market. Boeing wants to follow the example of Samsung or Intel... to find more suppliers in Vietnam," Mr. Michael expressed.
At the Prime Minister's Conference with foreign invested enterprises in September of the same year, the Director of Boeing Vietnam said that the value of goods produced in Vietnam for the company in recent years was 200 million USD .
Accordingly, for many years, suppliers from Vietnam have produced advanced aircraft parts, including aviation structures for Boeing. The value of goods manufactured in Vietnam for Boeing in recent years is 200 million USD .
Boeing currently buys from many places around the world. The company said that Vietnam has potential in terms of employees and experts who can produce and supply products for the company.
To build the supply chain, Boeing is working with 7 suppliers in Vietnam. Currently, Vietnamese companies cannot work directly with Boeing but must go through Japanese, Korean companies...
Boeing is currently working actively with five Vietnamese airlines to strengthen their fleets, train pilots, train leaders, aviation experts, engineers and aircraft maintenance and repair staff.
