Ministry of Health receives 500,000 more doses of measles vaccine, promoting the third vaccination campaign

Representatives of FPT Long Chau Pharmacy System and Vaccination Center presented a symbolic plaque donating 500,000 doses of measles vaccine to the Ministry of Health.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Health, thanked FPT Long Chau for its timely and practical support and hoped that the company would continue to accompany the Ministry of Health in implementing vaccination in Vietnam. At the same time, she said that these vaccines will be immediately distributed to localities to speed up the vaccination progress, contributing to controlling the epidemic in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister.

At the donation ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director of FPT Corporation, said that he was very proud to continue his long-term commitment to the health sector and respectfully donated 500,000 doses of measles vaccine to accompany the Ministry of Health in the third vaccination campaign. "We expect this contribution to help the vaccination rate of two doses of measles vaccine exceed 95%, towards achieving community immunity, preventing the risk of widespread epidemics, contributing to bringing the country's health sector "3 more" (better prevention, better implementation and less hardship for the health sector)", Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa expressed.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, FPT is ready to work with the Ministry of Health to promote the digital transformation process in preventive medicine, towards a proactive, smart and sustainable health system, according to Resolution No. 57/NQ-TW of the Politburo on developing science, technology and innovation to serve national digital transformation. Specifically, it will wholeheartedly 'offer advice' to implement communication activities on digital platforms, support the Ministry of Health in spreading preventive medicine information quickly, accurately and more widely to each citizen, contributing to building a proactive and knowledgeable community about health...

According to the Ministry of Health, after implementing measles vaccination campaigns, compared to the first 3 months of 2025, the measles incidence rate has begun to decrease in the group from 1 to 10 years old (down 6%), the group under 1 year old (down 0.4%) including the group of children under 6 months old who are not indicated for measles vaccination. However, it increased in the group over 10 years old (6.4%).

To continue to organize the measles vaccination campaign for the subjects and quickly control the epidemic, the Ministry of Health has developed and issued a plan to implement the 3rd measles vaccination campaign in 2025. The vaccine used in this vaccination campaign is 500,000 doses of measles vaccine sponsored by FPT Corporation. It is expected that the first allocation will be completed before April 30 and the second before May 15.
