Ministry of Health proposes recall of 12 fake milk powder products

Accordingly, the Food Safety Department requests the Department of Health of provinces and centrally-run cities; the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City; the Food Safety Management Board of Da Nang City; the Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Departments of provinces and cities to review, inspect and coordinate with local competent authorities to recall all 12 food and nutritional products (in the form of powdered milk) that are counterfeit goods currently on the market; coordinate with the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security to handle and resolve according to the provisions of law.

A milk product produced by Rance Pharma International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company that Dak Lak consumers have used.

The Food Safety Department recommends that people should not use 72 milk products under further investigation of Rance Pharma International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and Hacofood Nutrition Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company until the final conclusion of the police agency.

The Food Safety Department also requested units to continue to strictly implement the instructions on strengthening inspection, examination, handling of violations of food safety and strengthening inspection and post-inspection of fake and poor quality food.
