Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organizes Training Conference on fine arts and photography in 2024

(NADS) - On the morning of May 30, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Culture and Sports of Hai Phong City jointly organized a Training Conference on fine arts, photography and exhibitions in the North. The conference lasted for 2 days from May 30 to 31.

Central delegates attending the Conference included: Mr. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Artist Ma The Anh, Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; NB-Artist Ho Sy Minh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Editor-in-Chief of Photography and Life Magazine.

The Training Conference was organized to disseminate legal documents on the fields of fine arts, photography, and exhibitions that are currently in effect; update newly revised and supplemented contents to civil servants performing duties at the Departments of Culture and Sports/ Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of provinces and centrally run cities to improve the professional qualifications of civil servants performing duties in localities. At the same time, assess the state management situation at the central and local levels; career development work in fine arts, photography, and exhibitions; developments and practical lessons learned in the management process; thereby summarize, propose, recommend, and direct in the coming time.

Along with that, through the training, trainees have the opportunity to exchange, discuss and resolve difficulties in the process of implementing legal documents on fine arts, photography and exhibitions.

Not only in the North, the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions presided over and coordinated with relevant agencies and units to organize training in the three regions of the North, Central and South.

According to the plan, the training course on state management of fine arts and photography will be held from May to July in 3 regions (2 days each). In the Northern region, the training course took place in May 2024 in Hai Phong City; In the Central region, the training course will take place in June 2024 in Da Nang City; In the Southern region, the training course will take place in July 2024 in Can Tho City.
