On the afternoon of November 20, in Vinh city, Nghe An province, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to organize a conference to promote and cooperate in tourism development between Lam Dong province and Nghe An, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa provinces with the theme "Da Lat, Lam Dong - Tourist Destination". Deputy Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu attended the conference.
Cooperation and linkage in tourism development between provinces is very important.
Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration Ha Van Sieu affirmed that with its distinct advantages, Lam Dong tourism industry has been affirming its position in Vietnam tourism industry and has the potential to develop strongly in the future. Not only Lam Dong, the localities: Nghe An, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa are also provinces with rich and diverse tourism potential.
However, according to Mr. Ha Van Sieu, in the recent past, the potential of the provinces has not been fully exploited. Therefore, cooperation and linkage in tourism development between provinces is very important, not only helping to maximize the exploitation of local resources but also contributing to improving the competitiveness of Vietnamese tourism in the international market.

All policies focus on emphasizing the importance of building highly connected tourism products, ensuring sustainability, and meeting the needs of domestic and foreign tourists.
To more effectively implement the tourism development cooperation program in the coming time of Lam Dong and the Central provinces, Deputy Director Ha Van Sieu proposed a number of solutions: Strengthening linkages and developing common tourism products; Promoting tourism promotion and advertising; Developing transport infrastructure and tourism facilities; Building sustainable tourism policies and environmental protection; Improving the quality of tourism human resources.
The tourism brand of Da Lat - Lam Dong has been affirmed on the tourism map of Vietnam.
At the Conference, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Pham S said that the tourism brand of Da Lat - Lam Dong has been affirmed on the tourism map of Vietnam and the region, as a resort center and famous tourist destination. With outstanding values of natural landscapes, diverse tourism resources; architectural works with high heritage and cultural - artistic values; Da Lat people's style "Gentle - Elegant - Hospitable", ... contributing to the formation of a unique and attractive culture of Da Lat city in particular and Lam Dong in general "Safe - Civilized and Friendly", attracting domestic and foreign tourists".
According to Mr. Pham S, in recent times, Lam Dong has actively implemented tourism development cooperation programs and participated in tourism promotion activities in many provinces and cities across the country, including the Central region. Thereby, establishing close tourism development cooperation with the Central provinces such as: Khanh Hoa - Phu Yen - Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue, Nghe An, Quang Binh, ... Through tourism development cooperation programs, inter-route tours have been formed, connecting destinations of Lam Dong and the Central provinces, contributing to attracting visitors and developing tourism in each locality.
This connection will help the provinces take advantage of each other's strengths in tourism development: Lam Dong has strengths in eco-tourism, resorts, agriculture, and adventure sports, while the Central provinces have extremely rich cultural, historical, island, and community tourism products.
"If we combine well, we can create diverse tourism itineraries, attracting domestic and international tourists. Moreover, tourism development linkage also creates conditions for tourism businesses in the provinces to exchange, cooperate, share experiences and develop common products. Thereby, we not only promote tourism activities but also enhance the competitiveness of Vietnam's tourism industry in the context of the increasingly strong development of the global tourism market," Mr. Pham S emphasized.
Mr. Bui Dinh Long, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Nghe An and Lam Dong are two provinces with many diverse, rich and unique natural and human resources, creating advantages for the economic and tourism development of each province.
Despite the geographical distance, thanks to the Vinh - Lien Khuong flight route, people and tourists of the two provinces have favorable conditions to travel and visit relatives. Seizing that opportunity, the tourism industry of the two provinces has proactively signed and implemented a tourism development cooperation program.
At the conference, Lam Dong Tourism introduced the local tourism potential and strengths such as: The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024, tourism stimulus programs, new and typical tourism products of the province. In addition, representatives of Nghe An Tourism also introduced the potential, new products and the Winter - Spring tourism stimulus program.
Within the framework of the conference, Lam Dong Tourism Association and Tourism Associations of Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh; representatives of tourism enterprises of Lam Dong, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa signed a cooperation agreement on tourism development between localities and enterprises./.
