On the morning of August 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Military Party Committee held a conference to review 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in cyberspace.
Attending the conference were comrades: Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc, Deputy Commissar of Military Region 7; Nguyen Ho Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. In recent times, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Command and Party committees and commanders at all levels have led, directed, thoroughly grasped and organized the synchronous and effective implementation of Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW of the Politburo. The awareness and responsibility of the political system, armed forces and people of all walks of life for the task of protecting the Fatherland in cyberspace have been raised.
The Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Command have directed the implementation of the struggle and protection of the Party's ideological foundation. Steering Committee 35 and Force 47 at all levels have been regularly consolidated and improved, maintaining orderly and effective operations. Many specialized pages, columns, pages, groups, and social network accounts have operated effectively, contributing to the propaganda work, spreading positive information, fighting against the distorted and reactionary arguments of hostile forces, and guiding the ideology and public opinion of cadres, soldiers, and people in the area.

At the same time, the city's armed forces have well organized propaganda and education activities, raised awareness and capacity to ensure information security, safety and network security, and equipped officers and soldiers with skills to screen and select information in cyberspace. The team of professional officers and staff at all levels has been regularly strengthened and improved, and investment and equipment have been given attention, contributing to the good performance of the task of firmly protecting national sovereignty in cyberspace, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, ensuring security and safety for the activities of the armed forces and the city's Party Committee and government.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Ho Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, highly appreciated the results of the implementation of Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW in the city's armed forces. At the same time, he requested that in the coming time, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the High Command and Party committees and commanders at all levels continue to advise on the effective implementation of State management of national defense in cyberspace, building and developing a safe, healthy and widespread cyberspace.
The city's armed forces continue to advise on building and consolidating forces, a strong national defense posture, and a strong people's security posture in cyberspace, promoting the role of mass organizations and people together with specialized forces in participating in the struggle to protect national sovereignty in cyberspace.
Speaking at the conference, Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7, suggested that the Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Command focus on enhancing the role and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, and leaders in the task of protecting the Fatherland in cyberspace, and identify this as a key and regular task. Based on the leadership and direction of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and People's Committee, the Party Committee and the City Command need to proactively coordinate closely with departments, branches, and sectors to create a combined strength in protecting the Fatherland in cyberspace.

Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc also noted that it is necessary to strictly comply with the regulations of Military Region 7 on conduct in cyberspace, and to develop cultural standards for those who post information online. At the same time, it is necessary to focus on building a cyberspace fighting force that is politically strong, professionally proficient, and concerned with doing a good job of mass mobilization work in cyberspace.
At the conference, the Party Committee and Ho Chi Minh City Command awarded prizes to 14 outstanding collectives in implementing Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
