Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, General Phan Van Giang said: "Uncle Ho's advice is like an order echoing from Hung Temple to the entire army and people, becoming a spiritual strength, a reason for living, a sacred responsibility of every Vietnamese person and lasting forever with the nation in the struggle for independence, peaceful unification, protecting sovereignty and territorial integrity, building, protecting and developing the country today and tomorrow."
The pure red copper relief is considered the largest in Vietnam, 28m long, 9.9m high, weighing 36 tons, with an inscription reproducing Uncle Ho's famous advice in 1954 to the army before taking over the capital: "The Hung Kings had the merit of building the country, Uncle and I must work together to protect the country."
The project was put into use on the occasion of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival in the year of Giap Thin, towards the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.
