At the reception, General Phan Van Giang expressed his delight at the good traditional friendship between the two countries over the past 75 years. In particular, during the official visit to the Republic of Poland by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in January 2025, the leaders of the two countries agreed to upgrade bilateral relations to a strategic level.
General Phan Van Giang said that this is the basis for the two countries to continue developing cooperative relations in many fields, including defense cooperation.
General Phan Van Giang highly appreciated the results of the talks between the two Deputy Ministers of Defense of Vietnam and the Republic of Poland.
At the talks, the two sides agreed on many issues of mutual concern. At the same time, they acknowledged the positive results of defense cooperation between the two countries in recent times based on the Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral defense cooperation signed in 2010, notably in areas such as: delegation exchanges, especially high-level delegations; training; United Nations peacekeeping; Defense industry...
In the coming time, General Phan Van Giang also said that the Ministry of National Defense will direct relevant agencies to continue implementing the agreed contents to promote the defense cooperation between the two countries to be increasingly effective, practical, and in line with the overall relationship between the two countries.
On his part, Mr. Pawel Bejda, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Poland, expressed his gratitude to Minister Phan Van Giang for taking the time to receive the delegation and conveyed the regards of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Poland to Minister Phan Van Giang.
At the meeting, Mr. Pawel Bejda informed Minister Phan Van Giang about the results of the talks between the two sides this morning. The two sides discussed and agreed on the results of cooperation in the past time, and agreed to promote cooperation in areas where both sides have potential and demand.
Mr. Pawel Bejda expressed that Minister Phan Van Giang is interested in and directs the development of bilateral defense relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Poland in a sustainable manner, in accordance with signed documents and agreements.
