"The construction and launch of the OCOP website is part of the goal of Nhan Dan newspaper, which is to firmly orient, accompany and spread the policies of the Party and State, closely follow the reality of production and business life, promptly reflect and suggest solutions for sustainable development," Mr. Le Quoc Minh shared.

OCOP website has 5 sub-sections including: news, products, development stories, questions/answers and multimedia.

At the ceremony, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan highly appreciated the significance of the launch of the OCOP website. According to him, behind each OCOP product, there is the cooperation of many people, contributing to activating the rural economic sector, shifting towards creating products with high added value.

Each OCOP product aims to "activate" the dynamism and "revive the vitality" of rural communities, thereby training a new generation of entrepreneurs who are young people starting businesses with OCOP products, the Minister emphasized.

In our country, there are nearly 11,000 OCOP products. Each OCOP product integrates multiple values, with pride in local cultural values - a factor that distinguishes the value of OCOP products in each region. "Nowadays, people no longer buy products but buy the way they create them, including the mindset, culture, story, and emotions in the process of creating the product," said the Minister.

He believes that if selling something tangible, there will be a price to compare, but there will be no price to compare when selling the pride of the people, the indigenous cultural values that are subtly integrated into OCOP products.

Creating a product is difficult, but putting it on supermarket shelves and maintaining it is even more difficult. “Whoever tells the most emotional story through the product will win. There will be no end to the development of OCOP products. Products need to be more refined to meet market demands,” the Minister emphasized.

Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, representative of TikTok Vietnam, cited TikTok's statistics, previously, there were about 10 billion views per day but there was no OCOP content. After coordinating to launch the OCOP content program, the platform now has nearly 13,000 videos about OCOP and the hashtag #OCOP has up to 1.2 billion views.

In addition, TikTok collaborates with local content creators to organize 4-6 hour livestream sessions like a festival. Thereby introducing local culture, people, and specialties. The livestreams have achieved very positive results.

According to Mr. Thanh, many consumers do not know clearly about the information about specialties and do not know where to buy them. Through the OCOP page of Nhan Dan newspaper, TikTok hopes to develop and coordinate with the newspaper so that people can easily find and enjoy Vietnamese specialties.

Mr. Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, said that with the launch of the OCOP Special Page of Nhan Dan Newspaper, readers have another useful special page to better understand the cultural values behind each product. Manufacturers have the joy and pride of being named on the special page of the most prestigious newspaper in Vietnam.

For consumers, the website is a "reputable address" for them to visit to exchange, trade, buy and sell as well as introduce products.
