Minister of National Defense works with the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee

(LĐ online) - On the afternoon of April 3, General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense worked with the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc - Acting Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee reported to General Phan Van Giang - Member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense on some activities of the province.

Also attending the meeting was comrade Nguyen Duc Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly (right cover) and Comrade Pham Thi Phuc - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council attended the working session.

At the meeting, General Phan Van Giang listened to Comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc - Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the comrades in the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, briefly report on the socio-economic development situation, Party building work, and political system building of the province in the first quarter of 2025.

Regarding the implementation of military and defense tasks, Lam Dong province has effectively carried out the set goals and tasks. National defense and political security continue to be maintained; measures to ensure security, order and social safety are well implemented; and "hot spots" are not allowed to arise.

The work of receiving people, handling petitions and letters; the work of inspection, examination, and prevention of corruption, negativity, and waste are focused on.

Comrade Tran Hong Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the meeting.

In particular, the Acting Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee also informed General Phan Van Giang about the province's activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Lam Dong Liberation Day (April 3, 1975 - April 3, 2025), towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). In particular, he emphasized that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has directed the development of a plan to organize a thoughtful and solemn celebration, creating a widespread impact throughout the province; at the same time, directing relevant agencies to step up propaganda work to cadres, party members and the masses to raise awareness and pride in the 50 years of glorious revolutionary struggle of our Party and People in the resistance war against the US to save the country; and strengthen the people's trust in the Party and the regime.

The province also organized delegations led by provincial leaders to visit Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, families with meritorious services, and veteran revolutionaries throughout the province, and organized visits to martyrs' cemeteries...

And especially, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Lam Dong Liberation Day, towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, for the first time the province organized the awarding of the Medal for the cause of construction and development of Lam Dong province.

Appreciating the results achieved in the first quarter of 2025 of Lam Dong province and the careful preparation of the province for activities to celebrate Lam Dong Liberation Day, towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, General Phan Van Giang believes that through these meaningful and practical activities, the heroic fighting tradition of the Vietnamese people in general and the army and people of Lam Dong in particular in the resistance war against the US to save the country will be further engraved in the hearts of the people; honoring and showing gratitude to the heroic martyrs, comrades and compatriots who heroically sacrificed their blood and bones, dedicating their whole lives to the cause of national liberation, national reunification, building and defending the Fatherland.
