On the afternoon of July 30, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) signed a Cooperation Agreement on supporting investment promotion - trade of Make in Vietnam digital technology products to serve digital transformation, digital economic development, digital society in the period of 2024-2026, with a vision to 2030.
The signing ceremony was attended by more than 100 delegates who are leaders of digital technology enterprises and business associations.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, VCCI Chairman Pham Tan Cong said that the 13th National Party Congress set out the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country with the goal of Vietnam becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045. To achieve this goal, the 13th Party Congress Document also identified national digital transformation as an important task, and associated with 3 main pillars: digital government, digital economy and digital society.

Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW issued by the Politburo on October 10, 2023 on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new era has set a goal by 2030: Developing a Vietnamese entrepreneur force with scale, capacity and qualifications to meet the goals of industrialization and modernization of the country. Strive to have more and more enterprises reaching regional level, some enterprises reaching world level; some large enterprises playing a leading role in key industries and fields... with international competitiveness in basic, priority and spearhead industries.
Resolution 41-NQ/TW also sets out the task of developing ethnic enterprises and large-scale enterprises that play a leading role in a number of key and important sectors and fields.
“The development and growth of Vietnamese digital technology enterprises is of great significance, contributing to the implementation of the national digital transformation task in the Documents of the 13th National Party Congress, while contributing to the realization of the goal of developing a team of entrepreneurs and enterprises set out in Resolution 41 of the Politburo. Vietnamese digital technology enterprises are also one of the important groups of national enterprises that need to be promoted and supported in the context that the whole country is carrying out the national digital transformation, developing the digital economy and digital society , ” emphasized VCCI Chairman Pham Tan Cong.
Mr. Cong said that the signing of this Agreement is also to carry out the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister to VCCI and the Ministry of Information and Communications in Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated January 14, 2020 of the Prime Minister on promoting the development of Vietnamese digital technology enterprises.
"With the joint efforts of the two agencies in this meaningful and practical coordination program, I am fully confident that the Vietnamese business community in general and Vietnamese digital technology enterprises in particular will make important contributions to achieving the great goal: successfully implementing national digital transformation, contributing to making our country a developed, high-income, prosperous and happy country by 2045, as set out by the 13th National Congress of the Party," the Chairman of VCCI expected.
In the coming time, VCCI is ready to support connecting business associations and the Vietnamese business community to deploy Make in Vietnam digital technology products to improve competitiveness and business efficiency to meet the requirements of promoting digital transformation, developing the digital economy and digital society.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Information and Communications, as a specialized management agency, will gather, guide, and create an environment to promote Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to have high-quality Make in Vietnam products to be ready to support the business community in applying digital transformation.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, Director of the Department of ICT Industry (Ministry of Information and Communications), the Cooperation Agreement will focus on key contents such as consulting, consulting on building strategies, digital transformation plans, and development policy environment; in which, the Ministry of Information and Communications will advise and support the development of strategies, plans, and digital transformation programs for VCCI. In the opposite direction, VCCI will propose solutions, environments, and policies to create and support markets for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises.
In addition, the two sides will jointly support trade promotion, investment in products, solutions, and digital technology services Make in Vietnam to serve digital transformation, develop the digital economy and digital society for the domestic market; in which, focusing on implementing activities such as propaganda, investigation, survey of digital transformation needs of enterprises, trade promotion conferences, connecting supply and demand, etc.

In particular, there will be the content of "selecting and ordering 10 typical Make in Vietnam digital technology products, solutions and services in 10 fields to pilot digital transformation at VCCI and member enterprises to evaluate and replicate the implementation of products that bring practical efficiency to people and businesses.
In addition, the two sides will jointly support market development and investment in foreign markets for digital technology products “Make in Vietnam”. In particular, a number of activities will be implemented such as supporting the registration and protection of intellectual property rights and technology transfer abroad, connecting and introducing trade partners, providing information, guidance, consulting for businesses and trade and investment promotion activities abroad, etc.
Within the framework of the event, VCCI leaders signed a cooperation agreement to promote digital transformation with leaders of 6 typical enterprises: Viettel, VNPT, Mobifone, FPT, CMC and MISA.
