Supplementing the list of types of power sources and power grids for the period up to 2030

Kinhtedothi - Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son signed Decision No. 1682/QD-TTg dated December 28, 2024 approving the addition and update of the Plan for implementing the National Power Development Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

Decision No. 1682/QD-TTg dated December 28, 2024 promulgating the Appendix supplementing and updating the list of power source projects stated in Appendix III and the transmission grid stated in Appendix V of Decision No. 262/QD-TTg dated April 1, 2024.

Supplement and update the list of types of power sources and power grids operating until 2030

Specifically, supplement and update the list of types of power sources and power grids operating until 2030:

- In the list of medium and large hydropower plants, adjust the operation phase of Dak Mi 1 Hydropower Plant (Kon Tum province), capacity 84 MW: operation phase 2026 - 2030.

- In the list of pumped storage hydropower projects, adjust the operating phase of Bac Ai Pumped Storage Hydropower Plant (Ninh Thuan province), capacity 1,200 MW: operating phase 2026 - 2030.

- List of flexible power plant projects: Flexible power plant (Ninh Binh province), capacity 300 MW, operation phase 2026 - 2030.

- In the list of onshore wind power projects (onshore and nearshore), adjust the projects: Xuyen Moc nearshore wind power plant project phase 2 (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province), capacity 47 MW, operation phase 2026 - 2030; Thien Long Ngan Son wind power plant (Bac Kan province), capacity 130 MW, operation phase 2026 - 2030; VPL Ben Tre wind power plant (phase 1) (Ben Tre province), capacity 4.2 MW, operation phase 2023 - 2025; Van Canh Binh Dinh wind power plant (Binh Dinh province), capacity 143 MW, 2026 - 2030...

The decision clearly states that localities need to continue reviewing the implementation of inspection conclusions for projects included in the inspection conclusions; legal issues of each project related to overlapping with other planning during the implementation process. For projects that overlap with other planning, localities need to consult relevant agencies according to regulations before approving/granting investment licenses and must ensure that each project is only implemented when all legal problems, overlapping with other planning have been resolved and in compliance with legal regulations, not legalizing mistakes.

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation. Other contents remain the same as Decision No. 262/QD-TTg dated April 1, 2024.
