On December 15, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony to hand over 40 houses and give gifts to the people of Lang Nu village.

Over the past 2 months, immediately after receiving the task, the construction unit of Army Corps 12 has overcome all difficulties, working day and night, regardless of rain or shine, to complete the project ahead of schedule as assigned by the Prime Minister and the Head of the Ministry of National Defense.

According to the leader of Army Corps 12, the Lang Nu resettlement area has progressed 15 days ahead of schedule.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Minister of National Defense, shared the pain and loss that the people of Lao Cai flood area experienced. The Deputy Minister emphasized that although the pain and loss are difficult to compensate, the people must continue to live, try to look towards the future, and build Lang Nu into an address to remind everyone of the spirit of solidarity, a vivid demonstration of the relationship between the army and the people.

Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, said that the impact of storm No. 3 has caused severe damage in Lao Cai province. To overcome the consequences of natural disasters and rebuild after floods, the province has mobilized the entire political system to carry out this important task. The Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee sincerely thanks the attention and support of the leaders of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense, agencies, departments, sponsors, and people nationwide.

According to Mr. Truong, up to now, in the whole Lao Cai province, nearly 700 houses have been renovated, 1,200 houses have been repaired and affirmed that the province will continue to pay attention to make resettlement areas become happy villages.

New Nu Village before inauguration After 3 months of construction, Nu Village resettlement area, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province has been completed and handed over to the people.
