Vietnam - Indonesia strengthen sustainable bilateral cooperation
At the meeting, Minister Do Duc Duy suggested that both sides create more favorable conditions for businesses and agricultural products of each country to access each other's markets, thereby aiming to balance the trade balance. Regarding food security, Vietnam hopes to soon complete procedures to sign the MoU, thereby contributing to ensuring stable rice exports from Vietnam and food security for Indonesia.
In addition, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment also proposed that the two sides increase the organization of trade promotion forums so that businesses of the two countries have the opportunity to meet, connect and sign cooperation agreements in the fields of science and technology, seafood trade, especially with lobster seeds, tuna and seaweed, to combat IUU fishing (illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing).

On the Indonesian side, Indonesian Minister of National Development Planning Rachmat Pambudy expressed his gratitude to Vietnam for creating favorable conditions for Indonesian enterprises to invest and operate in Vietnam. Minister Pambudy hopes that licensing and market access processes will continue to be supported more flexibly in the coming time. The standards of Vietnamese enterprises are increasingly high, and we are also committed to providing maximum support so that Vietnamese enterprises can be licensed more quickly and conveniently in Indonesia," Minister Rachmat Pambudy shared.
Italy pledges to support Vietnam in achieving climate goals
Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh said that Vietnam is promoting the Green Energy Development Strategy to realize the commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh asked the Italian side to participate in sharing experiences, models, technology transfer and policy support to help improve the capacity to assess impacts and resilience to climate change; share experiences in solutions to develop circular economy, reduce plastic waste, protect the environment in urban areas, coastal areas and the Mekong Delta. Vietnam implements global commitments and initiatives on emission reduction and climate change adaptation, especially the commitment to bring net emissions to "zero" by 2050.

On the Italian side, Special Envoy Prof. Francesco Corvaro affirmed that Italy is committed to continuing to support Vietnam in preparing for the upcoming COP30 Climate Change Conference. Prof. Francesco Corvaro highly appreciated Vietnam's ambitious goals in the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), demonstrating Vietnam's determination in efforts to combat climate change. From the Italian perspective, Prof. Corvaro is continuing to discuss with the Italian Development Cooperation Agency to better understand Vietnam's goals, thereby supporting Vietnam in implementing and updating the NDC.
At the same time, the Italian side is also interested in circular economy projects and Vietnam's approach in this field, including the "1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice project" which has been successfully tested in the Mekong Delta recently. The Italian side is willing to share and support Vietnam in the next projects to implement the circular economy.
Vietnam - China share on air quality management, environmental protection
According to Deputy Minister Guo Fang, air and environmental pollution are inevitable issues in the country's industrialization process. "Blue skies are a miracle of Beijing, thanks to a comprehensive air pollution monitoring system," Ms. Guo Fang affirmed, wishing to share her experience with Vietnam.

Vietnam is transforming production towards low emissions, while building a foundation for a domestic carbon market, which is expected to be piloted by 2028. With your support, we hope to accelerate this process,” Minister Do Duc Duy hoped. In the field of carbon markets, Vietnam is particularly interested in China’s experience in organizing and operating a national carbon market, and wishes to establish a specialized cooperation channel to learn and gradually implement it effectively in Vietnam.
Vietnam is one of the 7 founding members and official partners of P4G. This is the 4th time the Conference has been held and the first multilateral Green Growth Summit hosted by Vietnam. The Conference took place from April 16-17 in Hanoi and attracted more than 1,000 delegates from 46 countries and international organizations, including the Prime Minister of Laos, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia and the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations; many ministers of countries, leaders of international organizations, scholars, experts and businesses around the world. Accordingly, Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy chaired "Catching up with the 4.0 Green Revolution: The journey to transform the food system for a sustainable era ".
