Appointment of 2 Deputy Chiefs of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Assistants to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers

The Prime Minister has issued Decisions to appoint 3 Assistants to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers and 2 Deputy Chiefs of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

On January 6, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decisions appointing 3 Assistants to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers and 2 Deputy Chiefs of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

Appointment of three Assistants to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers

Specifically, in Decision No. 39/QD-TTg dated January 6, 2025, the Prime Minister decided to appoint Mr. Nguyen Hong Tuyen, Director of the Department of Law, Government Office, to hold the position of Assistant to Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Prime Minister.

In Decision No. 33/QD-TTg dated January 6, 2025, the Prime Minister decided to appoint Mr. Le Hoang Tung, Director of the General Department, Government Office, to hold the position of Assistant to Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government.

In Decision No. 36/QD-TTg dated January 6, 2025, the Prime Minister decided to appoint Mr. Do Hoang Minh, Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on secondment to work at the Government Office, assisting the Deputy Prime Minister to hold the position of Assistant to Comrade Bui Thanh Son, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister.

Appointment of 2 Deputy Chiefs of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army

In Decision No. 35/QD-TTg dated January 6, 2025, the Prime Minister decided to appoint Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of Military Region 5, to hold the position of Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

Comrade Thai Dai Ngoc was born on January 1, 1966; hometown: Hoa Tho Dong ward, Cam Le district, Da Nang city; ethnicity: Kinh; political theory level: Advanced; professional level: Bachelor of Military.

Before June 2016, comrade Thai Dai Ngoc was Colonel, Commander of the Dak Nong Provincial Military Command; from June 2016 to June 2018: Major General, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5; from June 2018 to November 2018: Major General, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Military Region 5; from November 2018 to October 2020: Major General, Director of the Department of Operations, General Staff; from October 2020: Lieutenant General, Commander of Military Region 5.

On January 30, 2021, at the 13th National Congress of the Party, comrade Thai Dai Ngoc was elected as a member of the 13th Party Central Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

In Decision No. 38/QD-TTg dated January 6, 2025, the Prime Minister decided to appoint Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of Military Region 3, to hold the position of Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

Comrade Nguyen Quang Ngoc was born on September 28, 1968; hometown: Tran Dang Ninh ward, Nam Dinh city, Nam Dinh province; ethnicity: Kinh; political theory level: Senior; professional level: Bachelor of Military, majoring in Command and Staff, Combined Arms.

Before December 2016, comrade Nguyen Quang Ngoc was the Commander of the Nam Dinh Provincial Military Command; from December 2016: Deputy Commander of Military Region 3; from 2017: Major General; from April 2019: Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 3; from July 2020: In charge of Commander of Military Region 3; from August 2020: Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Military Region 3, term 2020-2025; from September 2020: Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Commander of Military Region 3.

On January 30, 2021, at the 13th National Congress of the Party, comrade Nguyen Quang Ngoc was elected as a member of the 13th Party Central Committee for the 2021-2026 term./.
