The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that the Vietnamese community in Ukraine prepare the best options to keep themselves and their families safe, including evacuating from big cities and staying away from dangerous areas.

On the afternoon of November 21, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , answering reporters' questions about the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang said that in the face of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which is at risk of escalating and spreading to several major cities in Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam recommends that Vietnamese citizens and the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in Ukraine do the following:
The Vietnamese community in Ukraine needs to prepare the best plan to keep themselves and their families safe, including evacuating from big cities and staying away from dangerous areas.
The community also needs to regularly monitor local warnings as well as warnings from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the Consular Department or Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to respond promptly and maintain regular contact with associations, unions and the Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine.
Vietnamese citizens are advised not to travel to Ukraine unless absolutely necessary.
