This morning, December 28, the Ministry of Planning and Investment held a conference to review the work in 2024; deploy key tasks in 2025. Attending and directing the conference was comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Prime Minister. The conference was broadcast online to the provinces and centrally-run cities. Attending at the Son La province bridge was comrade Le Hong Minh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
As a consulting and synthesizing agency on socio-economic issues, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has always proactively advised and proposed solutions, mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties, promote production and business, accelerate disbursement of public investment capital, ensure social security, develop growth scenarios, maximize recovery opportunities and create new momentum for the country's economic development. In 2024, the Ministry promptly researched, monitored, assessed and forecasted the situation closely, thereby actively advising the Government and the Prime Minister on appropriate development scenarios as well as timely response solutions, minimizing negative impacts and achieving dual goals in socio-economic development. The solutions proposed by the Ministry are all strong, focused, in-depth and flexible, suitable for short-term and medium-term requirements to promote public investment disbursement, regional connectivity, digital transformation, innovation, and business development, thereby promoting economic growth in the direction of green growth and sustainable development associated with the global green recovery process.
In addition, the Ministry has done a good job of advising the Government and the Prime Minister to research and implement measures to continue attracting high-quality FDI capital flows; promoting the improvement of the investment and business environment to create favorable conditions, increase confidence and arouse the entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and mettle of enterprises, thereby significantly contributing to creating social consensus, stabilizing market psychology; promptly advising on solutions, mechanisms and policies to contribute to stabilizing the macro-economy, controlling inflation and ensuring social security.
