Ministry of Transport agrees to connect provincial roads with Dau Giay Expressway

The meeting clarified the situation, pointed out difficulties and obstacles and proposed solutions in production and business activities, construction investment, import and export in the two provinces. Particularly in Binh Thuan, since the beginning of the year, the province has continued to focus resources on accelerating the implementation of infrastructure projects, key works, and traffic works in the province such as: DT.719 Road (Ke Ga - Tan Thien section), DT.719B Road (Phan Thiet - Ke Ga section), Ham Kiem - Tien Thanh Road (from National Highway 1 to DT.719B Road), Van Thanh Bridge, DT.719B Road (Hon Lan - Tan Hai section).

In the disbursement of the public investment capital plan for 2024, by February 16, 2024, 131 billion VND had been disbursed (reaching 3.6% of the plan). Continue to complete procedures to adjust the investment policy of the Phan Thiet airport project; speed up the implementation of investment procedures for the Ka Pet lake project, Ca Ty apartment complex, and the provincial general hospital (phase 2). The whole province has 80 newly registered enterprises, an increase of 14.28% over the same period in 2023; the newly registered capital is 666 billion VND. Export turnover in the first 2 months of 2024 is estimated at 124.8 million USD, an increase of 5.1% over the same period in 2023; the total accumulated state budget revenue in the first 2 months of the year is estimated at 2,170 billion VND, reaching 21.7% of the year's estimate.

Ministries and branches also responded to issues that Binh Thuan had previously proposed regarding bidding, investment in upgrading National Highway 28B, establishing a coastal protection corridor, Phan Thiet Airport, investing in BOT projects in industrial parks, stabilizing the market - promoting production and business, developing domestic and foreign product consumption markets, etc. to serve local socio-economic development.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee continued to propose that the Ministry of Transport consider directing agencies to soon study and supplement the connection of Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway with the road system of Binh Thuan province. At the same time, adjust the location of Muong Man station under the North - South high-speed railway project, the section passing through Binh Thuan province.

The Minister of Transport agrees with Binh Thuan's proposal and will direct the relevant agencies to soon study and add a road connecting section to the Dau Day - Tan Phu expressway to meet the transportation and travel needs of the people of Duc Linh and Tanh Linh districts and maximize the investment efficiency of the Dau Day - Tan Phu expressway, thereby creating a driving force to strongly promote the socio-economic development of the locality.

Regarding the adjustment of the location of Muong Man station under the North-South high-speed railway project, the section passing through Binh Thuan province, the Ministry of Transport has directed the consulting unit TEDI South to coordinate with the Binh Thuan Department of Transport to study the plan to adjust the location of Muong Man station and the infrastructure maintenance station according to the proposal of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee. The Minister of Transport also requested the province to do a good job of site clearance to serve the construction of a rest stop along the expressway section passing through Binh Thuan that has been approved.
