For Mathematics, the results of the national score distribution analysis in 2023 show that: There were 1,003,372 candidates taking the exam for this subject, with an average score of 6.25 points and a median score of 6.6 points. The score with the most candidates was 7.6 points. 123 candidates had a score <= 1 (accounting for 0.012%); 217,093 candidates were below average (accounting for 21.64%) and 12 candidates scored 10 points.
There were 1,008,239 candidates taking the Literature exam, with the average score being 6.86 points and the median score being 7.0 points; of which 7.0 was the score with the highest number of candidates. 92 candidates scored <= 1 (0.009%); 73,622 candidates scored below average (7.3%); only one candidate scored 10 points.
32,188 candidates took the Physics exam, with an average score of 6.57 points and a median score of 6.75 points; of which 7.5 was the score most candidates achieved. 23 candidates scored <= 1 (0.007%); 48,379 candidates scored below average (14.79%). 70 candidates scored 10 points in this subject.
There were 328,117 candidates taking the Chemistry exam, with an average score of 6.74 points and a median score of 7.0 points. The score with the most candidates was 7.5 points. 14 candidates scored <= 1 (0.004%); 38,375 candidates scored below average (11.7%); 137 candidates scored 10 points.
324,625 candidates took the Biology exam, with an average score of 6.39 points and a median score of 6.5 points. The score with the most candidates was 6.5 points. 36 candidates scored <= 1 (0.011%); 33,754 candidates scored below average (10.4%). 135 candidates scored 10 points in this subject.
There were 683,447 candidates taking the History exam, with an average score of 6.03 points, and a median score of 6.0 points; of which 5.75 was the score most candidates achieved. 38 candidates scored <= 1 (0.006%); 170,237 candidates scored below average (24.91%); 789 candidates scored 10.
682,134 candidates took the Geography exam, with an average score of 6.15 points and a median score of 6.25 points. The score with the most candidates was 6.25 points. 112 candidates scored <= 1 (0.016%); 91,073 candidates scored below average (13.35%). This subject had 35 candidates scoring 10 points.
565,452 candidates took the Civic Education exam, with an average score of 8.29 points, a median score of 8.5 points; the score with the most candidates was 9 points. 26 candidates scored <= 1 (0.005%); 5,492 candidates scored below average (0.97%); 14,693 candidates scored 10 points.
876,102 candidates took the English exam, with an average score of 5.45 points and a median score of 5.2 points. The score with the most candidates was 4.2 points. 192 candidates scored <= 1 (0.022%); 392,784 candidates scored below average (44.83%); 494 candidates scored 10 points.
Thus, Civic Education is the subject with the highest average score and the most candidates scoring 10 points. Notably, History recorded the second highest number of candidates scoring 10 points (789 candidates), showing that the quality of History education has improved significantly in recent years.
