The delegation of Lai Chau Provincial Border Guard was led by Colonel Trieu Quoc Nguay, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard. The delegation of Hong Ha Border Management Team, Yunnan Province was led by Comrade Truong Ban Vu, Level 3 Police Supervisor, Team Leader.

The talks took place in an atmosphere of friendship, frankness and mutual trust. The two sides jointly assessed the results of cooperation in border management and protection; combating and preventing cross-border crimes from October 2023 to present; further analyzed and clarified the current border management situation of the two sides and exchanged opinions, agreed on the content and measures of cooperation in the coming time.

Accordingly, the two sides continue to coordinate and seriously implement three legal documents on borders; the cooperation agreement between the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Chinese Ministry of Public Security on establishing a three-level law enforcement coordination mechanism in border control at border gates and land border management signed on February 19, 2021 in Hanoi (Vietnam).
Continue to maintain and promote the effectiveness of existing coordination mechanisms between the two sides, such as: Meetings and talks; regular and ad hoc meetings; exchanging information through official letters; telephone communication via hotline; joint law enforcement patrols on the border; coordination in preventing and combating cross-border crimes... contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, stable, cooperative and developing border.
The two sides also agreed to increase information exchange and situational awareness. related to the implementation of coordination mechanisms, to further enhance the capacity of cooperation in the fight against cross-border crimes. The implementation method is through hotline phone calls, letter exchanges, ad hoc meetings on the border, and at monthly joint patrols.
The two units agreed to advise the local government and functional forces to promote the opening and upgrading of the U Ma Tu Khoang - Binh Ha border gate; speed up the completion of procedures for the construction of the multi-purpose bridge at the Ma Lu Thang - Kim Thuy Ha border gate. The specific progress and related matters will be discussed and resolved by the foreign affairs agency of the local government...
